Railways are what got me into photography initially, having loved trains as long as I can remember meant it was an enjoyable way for me to learn the basics of photography and progress my skills. There is sometimes quite a bit of planning needed to be in the right place at the right time and for the weather to play along too for what is often a one off is rewarding to get the shot you envisaged that can be months or years in the making.
